You've probably seen ads on Facebook, Instagram or other social media sites where pool builders are offering a base pool anywhere from $39,900 and up. Does that include any decking around the pool? Do they have an office? Can they actually build what they are offering or is this a "get the phone to ring" gimmick?
Every Year we get calls from customers that contracted with pool builders that took most of their money and left. Not only do they have to come out of pocket to finish their pool, they are faced with liens on their homes because the pool builder they chose didn't pay their subs. DON'T take a chance

FASTEST CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION TIME:
Then, you see "built in 30 days" ADS where they lead you to believe they are the quickest. After you read all the fine print, you learn that if it rains anywhere in the City or surrounding cities, this adds extra days for completion. And weekend days don't count. If you truly believe the company that you are talking to can build that pool in that time frame, get it in writing and have a clause where they pay YOU for every day they miss. Make sure you read the fine print.
OUR PRICING:
Now let's get into it a little. Sometimes, we run an advertised special for a pool or pool/spa at a discounted priced. This "special" is the same quality, the same crews that we use on our $150K PLUS pools. Instead of cutting corners, we just put a package together that is smaller in quantity, not quality. We STILL use a Variable Speed Pool pump. We STILL use an electronic timer. The pool is efficient, quality built and has great warranties. We simply want to offer a package that more people can afford. We realize some pool builders won't come out to your home for less than $70 or $80k. We will build an affordable, quality pool.
Can we build our "Special" Pool cheaper?
Of course we CAN. But we would have to find cheaper crews that might not have been in business as long as our current guys. We might have to use a cheaper Gunite company, the foundation of your pool. We would have to use basic pool equipment and cut corners on plumbing and steel. All of these things go against why we decided to build pools in the first place, back in 1999. We don't want to build CHEAP pools. We want to be affordable with Quality.
But we just want to get an IDEA of how much it's going to cost!
Okay, so a base pool in the County, in our area, with standard tractor access and a flat yard, with our current special, starts at $48,900 (www.obpi.com/special). Sure, there are a lot of things that can increase the cost. See what is included on the previous link. If it's in a city proper, it DOES cost us more to build it. How much does it cost to add a hot tub? There are a lot of variables that determine this. Is the hot tub on the perimeter outside edge of the pool? Is it inside the pool? Does it have a rolled edge? Is it raised? How far is the heater from the gas meter? You see, there are a lot of variables. We ALWAYS offer FREE Quotes. We will need your property survey (to scale) in order to look at some numbers. Remember, since 1999 we have been building pools and have a great reputation.
